Mentorship Workshops

Break Through the Clutter: Stand Out on LinkedIn

How do you make yourself stand out in a crowd of job applications? What can you do to get your LinkedIn profile noticed?

The 2020-2021 Mentorship Program’s first workshop of the year focused just on that. With help from Juno College Career Success Specialist, Madi Fuller, participants learned more about why they should use LinkedIn, building their LinkedIn profiles, engaging & posting, sharing their personal stories.

Making a Good Impression: Professional Acumen in the Workplace

We all know that strong writing skills are at the top of every employer’s list, but what is it that sets one person apart from the next?

Join the CPRS Hamilton Mentorship Program and a panel of experts: Kalvin Reid (Enterprise Canada), Ann Lamanes (Joseph Brant Hospital), Melissa Schweyer (Habitat for Humanity Hamilton) and Gemma Spadafora (McMaster University). The panel will discuss workplace dynamics, the role of new practitioners within an organization, and how to put your best foot forward as you start your career in communications.
